How to make a marking gauge part 1
In this series I show you how to make a marking gauge based on a French design. The design was originally published in Popular Woodworking but I have modified the plans to use a blade instead of a pin and added a radius on the arm to make it more robust. This marking gauge is a good beginners project because it results in a very useful tool and requires minimal skill and tooling to make. This video is an introduction and shows the marking out needed for the mortises.
