The stars, taking pity on her, placed her in a cat's body, accidentally kicking out the spirit that occupied the body, the spirit being called Spectrekit. Virtuekit is often confused about being a cat, so Spectrekit takes it upon herself to help guide her. Spectrekit would be able to give Virtuekit messages, as seen where (i artistically demonstrated lmao) Virtuekit's eyes glow white, a message is being transmitted. Noblesong, Virtuekit's mother became extremely protective of Virtuekit as the rest of the tiding discovered her unique abilities, unintentionally shunning her other daughter, Spectrekit. Albatrossdive, Virtuekit's father was very absent, only ever taking her out of camp once to look over the lake, though he was much more present for Triumphkit as she was neglected. Virtuekit and Triumphkit become apprentices, Noblesong not trusting any other cat but herself to mentor Virtuekit, while Triumphkit is assigned another cat. A bit into her apprenticeship, Virtuepaw is confronted by Cirruschirp, who's son had fallen terribly ill, leaving her to turn on Virtuepaw. She tears the apprentice's ear in broad daylight, later being attacked by Noblesong, her once friend, in the far corner of the territory- her back leg being broken. Virtuepaw awakens from another message from Spectrekit, who seems slightly concerned. She looks out to Noblesong, who's guarding where she sleeps. Triumphpaw comes up to her mother, saying she's asked for her suffix to be song, to honour her. Noblesong barely grants her an acknowledgement. Virtuepaw becomes Virtuecrest, Triumphpaw becomes Triumphsong.
