Mateo 7:7 No Significa Lo Que Muchos Predican | Charles Spurgeon

Matthew 7:7 Doesn't Mean What Many Preach | Charles Spurgeon What did Jesus really mean when He said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you”? Many have used Matthew 7:7 to teach that God should give you everything you ask for if you have enough faith. But that interpretation has hurt thousands of believers, turning prayer into a religious transaction and making many feel guilty when they don't receive what they asked for. This Christian sermon in Spanish, inspired by the spirit of Charles Haddon Spurgeon's biblical preaching, explains Matthew 7:7 within its biblical context: the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus wasn't teaching a magic formula for prosperity, material miracles, or instant answers. He was teaching His disciples to live a life of persevering, humble, and filial prayer before the Father. In this message, we reflect on Matthew 7:7-11, Luke 11:13, Matthew 6:9-13, Matthew 6:19-34, Matthew 26:39, 2 Corinthians 12:9, James 4:3, 1 John 5:14, Romans 8, Hebrews 11, 1 Kings 19, 1 Samuel 1, and Christ's prayer in Gethsemane as the supreme model of surrender to the Father's will. This sermon shows that “ask, seek, and knock” does not mean demanding what we want from God, but rather approaching the Father with dependence, perseverance, and trust. Biblical prayer is not a spiritual ATM. It is not a formula for controlling God. It is not a currency we buy with faith. It is filial communion with the Father through Christ and with the help of the Holy Spirit. It also explains that God does not promise to give just anything, but good things. A loving father doesn't give his son a stone when he asks for bread, nor a snake when he asks for fish. But neither does he give poison when the son asks for it, believing it to be food. God can answer with a yes, with a wait, with a no, or with something else entirely, because His wisdom is higher than our desires, and His love sees what we do not see. Luke 11:13 shows that the Father's supreme gift is the Holy Spirit. The greatest gift God gives to those who ask Him is not material prosperity, a house, a car, a relationship, or a visible miracle, but His very presence. The greatest gift of prayer is not that our will reigns, but that God gives Himself to us, sanctifies us, and forms Christ within us. This message also confronts five common errors: believing that God is obligated to give you what you ask for, thinking that if you don't receive it's because your faith is insufficient, teaching that material wealth is a sure sign of faith, reducing prayer to merely asking, and using Matthew 7:7 as a blank check for selfish desires. Scripture teaches that we should ask according to God's will, not according to our own desires. If you have ever been told that your sickness, your loss, your waiting, your lack, or your pain exists because you didn't have enough faith, this sermon brings biblical comfort. Paul asked three times that God remove his thorn in the flesh, but the Lord answered, “My grace is sufficient for you.” Christ himself in Gethsemane asked that the cup be taken from him, but submitted to the Father's will. True faith doesn't always receive what it asks for; true faith rests in the Father even when the answer is different. Christian prayer begins with “Hallowed be your name,” not with “Give me what I want.” Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Ask, seek, and knock, but do so as a child, not as a customer; as a pilgrim, not as a consumer; as the redeemed, not as one who seeks to control heaven. This content is not a literal translation of an original sermon by Spurgeon, but rather a Christian reflection in Spanish inspired by classic themes of biblical preaching, centered on Christ, the authority of Scripture, prayer, the will of God, sufficient grace, the work of the Holy Spirit, perseverance, and the glory of the Father. #CharlesSpurgeon #SpurgeonInSpanish #Matthew77 #AskAndItWillBeGivenToYou #ChristianPrayer #BiblicalPrayer #GodIsFather #ChristIsSufficient #GodsWill #SermonOnTheMount #ChristianFaith #SoundDoctrine #ChristianPreaching #BibleExplained #EchoesOfTheTabernacle Charles Spurgeon, Spurgeon in Spanish, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, Spurgeon's sermons, Christian sermons, Christian sermons in Spanish, Christian preaching, Christian sermons, biblical preaching, Christian message, Christian reflection, Christian devotional, biblical teaching, Bible explained, Matthew 7:7, Matthew 7:7, Matthew 7:7 explained, ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you, ask, seek, knock, Christian prayer, biblical prayer, how to pray correctly, false teachings about prayer prosperity theology, prosperity gospel, God is not an ATM, God is not a genie in a lamp, prayer is not a transaction, prayer as a relationship, God is Father, Heavenly Father, good things, Luke 11:13, Holy Spirit, the Father will give the Holy Spirit
