Vinyl Is Just Noise - Takumi TT Level 2.1 DC Turntable Review

Fifteen years ago, during the setup of a live event at Casino Estoril, one of the most respected figures in professional audio in Portugal said something I've never forgotten: "Vinyl? It's just noise." For years, those words stayed in the back of my mind. In this video, I revisit that conversation while reviewing the Takumi TT Level 2.1 DC, a turntable designed and built in the Netherlands that challenged some of my assumptions about analogue playback. Along the way, we'll explore the engineering behind the Takumi, the Kuro moving-coil cartridge, and most importantly, the music itself, including one of my favourite albums of all time: This Is The Sea by The Waterboys. Equipment featured in this video: • Takumi TT Level 2.1 DC Turntable • Takumi Kuro MC Cartridge • SOtM Phono Stage • Copland Preamplifier Available in Portugal through Delaudio: https://delaudio.pt/ If you enjoy thoughtful Hi-Fi reviews, analogue audio, vinyl records and music-first listening experiences, consider subscribing to the channel.
