Vintage Hoover Concept One (U3103) Upright Vacuum Cleaner (with Power Drive)

I found this at my local CHKD thrift store with another Concept One (   • Vintage Hoover Concept One (U3305-030) Upr...  ) for a little under $20 for both. Though I am almost certain that they came from the same owner, this one has much more use on it than the other one. My guess is that this was their main cleaner. The condition is not perfect, but I don't expect something so old to be in perfect condition. The worst issue that this one had was that it had a nail shoved through the plastic passage that connects the cleaner head to the blower. It was no fun getting the clear passage out of the end of the blower, but it didn't hurt anything beyond repair. It also had a smaller nail that was pushed through the cleaner head by the brush roll. It is impressive that this one survived that without needing a new fan. Who knows how many nails went through it? That's just proof that these older Hoover Concept models were tough.
