The Obsessive of Maloart - Efrain Malo - Amazing Cross Hatching and Watercolor Illustrations

The Obsessive of Maloart, the art of Efrain Malo by Chamaco books. This art book beat my expectations by a mile, with extremely detailed cross hatching illustrations making up most of the book as well as some beautifully rendered watercolor work, spread across anatomical drawings, realistic portraits, caricatures, fan art and pop culture, comic book heroes / heroines and villains just to name a few. Featuring a collection of Maloarts favourite illustrations and painting from over the last few years, this hardback book is fantastic print quality and is 220 pages long, filled to the brim with beautiful art work - no space is wasted. The first half of the book is black and white due to being mainly graphite and pencil work, but the 2nd half offers a vibrant range of paintings, many of which still manage to incorperate his high detail hatching work in there. My favourite section of the book is the Fan art / pop culture section which features iconic characters like Spider-Man ( his Scarlet spinder stands out to me the most!), Batman, Wednesday Addams, The Joker, Poison Ivy, Superman, Spider-Gwen, Black Cat, and more. You’ll also spot characters inspired by The Boys, Breaking Bad, Hellboy, Thundercats, Venom, as well as anime influences, celebrity portraits, caricatures, animal studies -and much more.
