Karagöl Nature Park 🏕️ 🏕️It's 20-25 km from Izmir city center. You arrive after a long climb towards Yamanlar Mountain via Karşıyaka Örnek Village. 🏕️The road is asphalt (narrow in some spots), but there are potholes, so be careful and don't speed. First, you climb, then descend again, followed by a short climb, and finally, you descend. It's challenging for vehicles with low engine power, especially those with 1.0-litre engines. 🏕️Karagöl is truly a beautiful place, a natural wonder. You can barbecue in the area, but lighting a fire on the ground is prohibited. There are plenty of seating tables around the lake. It's crowded on weekends; be careful during the week. 🏕️You can camp in the area, but not everywhere. The camping area is located on the southern side of the lake. 🏕️There are restrooms on site, and they're clean enough. Don't expect the same cleanliness as you'd get at home, though; they were clean compared to restrooms in similar areas. 🏕️There's a nice walking trail in the area. You can also go hiking outside the nature park. 🏕️The lake receives mostly southerly winds. If you don't like the wind, I recommend staying in the southern part of the lake. 🏕️The road is long, with plenty of winds and slopes. It's a perfect spot for nature and camping enthusiasts. I think it's worth the trip, but some will complain about it and say it's not worth it.
