King George Classics - Part 1

We take a look back through some of the classic King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes encounters from years gone by. Part 1 of 2 looks at the races from the 1950s through to the 1990s, including Grundy v Bustino in 1975, labelled as the 'race of the century'. Being open to three-year-olds and upwards, the King George presents the first major opportunity for the cream of the Classic generation to take on the best older horses over a mile and a half. Tickets for this year's King George weekend - Friday 25th to Sunday 27th July - are available to purchase from our website www.ascot.co.uk
