Oklahoma Joe's Bandera Vertical Smoker Modifications and Burn In

Not long after I posted this video, the left firebox hinge weld failed and snapped. I wasn't three hours into the burn in run. Very surprising and disappointing. Oklahoma Joe gets a grade of D from me for this model. Although I do like this smoker and am willing to make the mod on the firebox hinge, I wouldn't suggest anyone purchase the Bandera unless they are willing to correct the design flaw in the firebox hinge. I plan to replace the firebox door hinge with a heavy duty one. Drill four holes, four bolts/nuts, and problem solved. But shame on Oklahoma Joe for not having better quality control and craftsmanship. This will be a nice vertical smoker for purchase once this reoccurring design flaw is corrected.
