Here's a clip from a video jukebox production I did in 2018 with my band Jammin’ Cool, a cover version of "Sign O' The Times" from Prince. As you all know, Prince is the reason I became a not only musician but a teacher too. He was always striving to become a better musician and to stress the importance of music as a craft. I'm very careful when it comes to covering Prince songs, never trying to stray too far away from the original versions. I loved "Sign O' The Times" when it came out, and it remains one of his best albums. Ironically, the release of the "Sign O’ The Times Super Deluxe Edition", remastered, supplemented with a disc with single-edits and B-sides, three (!) discs filled with previously unreleased material from the Paisley Park Vault, two cd’s containing a 1987 concert at The Netherlands in Utrecht, only to top it off with a DVD containing the complete New Year’s Eve 1987 concert at Paisley Park, with special guest star Miles Davis.
