Hello bro and sis...this year marks exactly 30 years since Freddie Mercury, the legendary vocalist of the band Queen, passed away. His death was caused by the HIV virus due to his reckless past relationships. However, Freddie is still remembered as a great vocalist, top performer, and genius composer who is still hard to match. His works with Queen remain immortal to this day. In 2018, as a tribute to Freddie and Queen, director Bryan Singer made a biopic about his idol band entitled Bohemian Rhapsody. The character of Freddie Mercury was played by actor Rami Malek and he won an Oscar for Best Actor. The film was a huge success both critically and commercially. However, if we observe, this film is not 100% historically accurate. Many things were made to dramatize the atmosphere being depicted, so for those of you who really care about Queen's history, you still have to check the facts again after watching the film. Such as the figure of Ray Foster, the boss of EMI, his quarrel with Queen, the firing of John Reid, Queen's manager who in the film is depicted as being thrown out of Freddie's limo and also about Freddie's sexual interest which in the film is depicted as fully gay. Actually, if we do a fact check, Freddy was still in a hetero relationship with an Austrian artist, Barbara Valentin in the early 80s outside of his relationship with the men. He is indeed a liberal person in terms of sexual relations.
