Many have commented on the videos from Nordic countries such as Norway, Sweden or Finland, curious to know what women from those countries expect from a man. It is important to remember that Nordic women are not a homogeneous group and may have different expectations when it comes to relationships and men. Also, it is important not to fall into simplistic stereotypes and generalizations. That being said, generally speaking, they expect Nordic men to be respectful, equal, and empathetic, and to treat women as equals. It is likely that this is something already known, but we will try to verify what it produces among the passers-by of these geographies. It is curious to see in the images, or in the streets themselves if you are here, that there are numerous groups of women who walk alone, without a man by their side. It is perhaps the logical consequence of certain cultural impositions, of a life strictly marked by an agenda. In the Nordic countries, gender equality and the fight against discrimination are highly valued, so it is important that men share these values and act accordingly. Nordic men are also expected to be independent, responsible and honest, and to be involved in domestic life and raising children equally. In the Nordic countries, it is common for both parents to work outside the home and share household and childcare tasks equally. It must be understood that the participation of women in public life and the economy has been imposed in these countries a long time ago, there is no need for demands of this type. As for empathy, the accent will not be placed, as in other geographies, on a cheerful or affectionate character, but rather on agreement of ideas and projects. Many men have the fantasy of having a Nordic partner. Taking these items into account from the beginning can lead them to success or, failing that, discard the idea. Every relationship is unique and personal, but Nordic women will expect men to be respectful, equal, empathetic, independent, responsible and honest, and equally involved in domestic life and child-rearing.
