As is typical in games with a deck-building mechanic, we begin the game with a simple starting deck. This first deck includes money cards, which we'll use to buy things in the market, and metals with basic powers. In the market, we'll find more powerful cards and allies who will help us achieve victory. As the game progresses, our characters grow stronger and are able to burn more metals, thus activating more cards. In competitive mode, this means that turn after turn, we'll advance faster through the three quest markers and be able to inflict more damage on our opponents. In cooperative mode, we can face the wrath of the Lord Ruler more efficiently. Mistborn, the deck-building game, can also be enjoyed solo, a true challenge only for the most astute players. This is a must-have title for fans of Sanderson's work, as it brings the essence of Mistborn to the gaming experience, with its system of burning and igniting metals.
