Short Life of Trouble - Sam Shackleton, Frank Fairfield & Zac Sokolow
It was an honour to play this old American folk ballad called “Short Life of Trouble” with two of my favourite musicians and new pals, Frank Fairfield and @ZacSokolow. This video was filmed a few weeks ago in Frank’s beautiful home in Los Angeles. We began the night by drinking lots of Mezcal and eating good food at Zac’s friend Chief’s house listening to the lovely music of La Santa Cecilia and the California Feet Warmers. We then headed over to Franks place where we played tunes like this into the wee hours in his garage. It was a class night, and one of my favourite memories from the two months I just spent touring over in the USA! 🏴🪕🇺🇸 Make sure to check out and stream Frank Fairfield and Zac Sokolow’s music and Zac’s class band LA LOM. Until next time lads, cheers! 🤘 (Video recorded by @ZacSokolow) #folkmusic #traditionalmusic #banjo #appalachianmusic #clawhammer #folk#bluegrass #celtic #celticmusic #irishmusic
