If you aren’t familiar with this modification, it is a great way to mount a lap timer, a cell phone, or anything else you need to look at when driving. Steps. 1. In order to install the dash bracket we need to loosen the dash bezel. To loosen the dash bezel you need to remove the screw covers sitting above the cluster on the inside of the bezel. Remove the screw covers by using a bent paperclip or pick to reach underneath the screw cover and pull it out. Each cover should have a flat edge that allows you to reach underneath them. 2. Then remove the two screws using a stubby #2 Phillips head screwdriver. 3. Use an interior trim tool to pry the right edge of the dash bezel away from the dash. With the bezel loose you can gently pull it out and look for a gold phillips head screw holding the heater controls in place. This will be the screw that will secure the dash bracket. 4. Remove the screw and mock up how the dash bracket will fit. You might notice that the dash bracket will not allow the bezel to sit flush with the dashboard as there is some trim on the edge of the dashboard that will have to be removed. 5. Mark the section of the trim that will have to be cut and then use an x-acto knife to cut the trim away. Be extremely careful not to cut the dashboard or cut yourself! I have found the best way cut this strip away is to slowly stab the trim one section at a time. 6. Once you have successfully trimmed the dashboard edge, install the phillips head screw with the dash bracket mounted and pop the bezel back into place. 7. Reinstall the two screws holding the bezel in place using a stubby #2 Phillips head screwdriver. 8. Pop the screw covers above the cluster back into place.
