Farrukhabad is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of the Farrukhabad tehsil. The city is on the banks of river Ganges and is 338 kilometres (210 mi) from the national capital Delhi and 170 kilometres (110 mi) from the state capital Lucknow Farrukhabad is also known for its fairs and festivals, including the Ram Leela, Janmashtami, and Holi. The district is well-connected by road and rail, and it is easily accessible from nearby cities like Kanpur and Lucknow. The most popular street food of Farrukhabad is the papadi or papadiya, a delightful and mouthwatering snack enjoyed by the locals of the region. Another popular delicacy is the 'bhunje aloo' or roasted potatoes Neminath, Rameshwarnath Mahadev, Pandaveshwar Mahadev and Panchal Ghat are some of the religious spots popular among tourists.
