Southern Lebanon witnessed another Israeli violation when an Israeli drone targeted a jeep on the outskirts of the town of Zawtar Mefadoun in the Nabatieh district, killing three people and seriously wounding a fourth. This attack is part of a series of ongoing Israeli violations, with more than five attacks recorded in recent days targeting vehicles and individuals in the Nabatieh, Kfar Tebnit, and Ali Taher Heights areas. Although Hezbollah issued statements warning against the escalation of these attacks, it has not yet responded to these violations. In a related development, it appears that Israel is attempting to demonstrate its presence and control over the Ali Taher Heights, but field sources confirm that it has not actually reached them and is targeting any person or vehicle that approaches the area. With no indication of an Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon, these violations come at a sensitive time, coinciding with the third and final day of the fifth round of negotiations in Washington, amid anticipation of an announcement that could determine the fate of a limited Israeli withdrawal. While Hezbollah remains in a wait-and-see stance, vowing to retaliate against any violation, the fragile negotiations face a real test that could determine the course of the next phase in southern Lebanon.
