We Took the Tren Maya for the First Time (Cancún → Mérida) – Here's What Happened

We finally took the Tren Maya! 🚆 After all the buzz, we experienced it ourselves – from Cancún Airport all the way to Mérida. In this vlog, we start at Cancún International Airport after landing. With only a 3-hour window (landing at 3 PM, train at 6:20 PM), we were definitely in a rush – immigration, luggage, a quick bite, and then off to find the shuttle to the Tren Maya station. 🚌 What you'll see in this video: • The free shuttle from Cancún Airport to the Tren Maya station • A beautiful sunset outside the station (pure magic!) • Our honest thoughts on the controversial Tren Maya project – we don't pick sides, we just show our experience • The boarding process (including X-ray security – different from most European trains!) • Inside the brand new, spotlessly clean train • Night ride – not much to film, but we share the vibe • Arrival at Mérida Teya Station – plus our honest note about limited wifi/phone signal (at the time of our travel) • We were exhausted by the end – and we're not afraid to show it!
