To ‪@NicoisNXXT‬: for being funny, inspiring, and an important friend I made in the FNF community. ____________________ [ - DESCRIPTION - ] After a year in the works, I'm happy to unveil Subterfuge WITH LYRICS! I thought about doing this song after working on ‪@Team_Maelstrom‬'s lyric video on "Shady Face" last year (Check it out when you can. It's an excellent video). Because of the small appearance that 2017x made in that video, I asked her if she had plans to cover Subterfuge. And I remember that she told me about not having any because the official lyrics, written by Sturm and Raven, had already taken the cake with the song. And because of that, I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could create my own lyrical interpretation of the song. I took a slightly different direction with 2017x's character for this video. Instead of having him fully believe in the delusion of his identity as "Sonic", I tried to find depth in that by having him acknowledge that it IS a delusion: one that he desperately needs to believe in. This allowed me to write his character in a more personalized way for feelings that I experience, but I do understand if that does come off as uncharacteristic to 2017x. But even if that is true, I am very happy with how I wrote an emotion that means a lot to me. Big thanks to everyone who worked on this. This might be my most ambitious video that was able to reach the lengths that it did, and I'm really happy to finally see it out. ‪@artydoesstuff1534‬ was especially fun to have on. I thought it'd be funny to have him play 2017x after he played Yourself in ‪@AmySightHazy‬'s "Silly Billy". And he did outstandingly. It was really fun to have him on for the first time.
