The HORRORS of the Parsley Massacre - Short History Documentary

During the 1930s the island of Hispaniola was host to a series of slaughters. Darker skinned Haitians were targeted in racially motivated massacres committed by the Dominican Armed forces against that claimed anywhere from 4000 to 30,000 men, women and children. Very often, the dismembered bodies often dumped in ravines and rivers to hide the death toll. The method of distinguishing between a Haitian and a Dominican centred on the pronunciation of the Spanish word for Parsley, giving the massacre its moniker.
