The battle-hardened Nojima Tamazo takes on the challenge of catching a 1-foot-long ayu in the Kuma River. Despite the drought, the river's unique, powerful current remains. In fact, Nojima had been undergoing rehabilitation after a serious knee injury last year. He plunged into the powerful current and desperately pursued the 1-foot-long ayu.
