Berserk (1997) - The Eclipse (Metal Fan AMV)

Wanted to make something like this for a long time. Berserk is probably the most metal thing I've ever read/watched and I have always thought it would be cool to try and write some riffs for a part. I chose the eclipse from the 1997 anime for obvious reasons. I like a ton of heavy music but haven't spent a ton of time trying to record heavy guitars or drums so the whole thing was a big learning experience. It isn't perfect but I'm happy with where it got. I ran into a ton of technical difficulties with ableton and trying to use MOV files on a windows machine but it got done in the end. I hope to do a Part II someday. The guitars are hard panned left/right with two fuzzes and some bass mixed center. Drums were just two mics, not that in love with the snare sound but don't hate it. All the synths are Juno emulations.
