Otis Elevonic 401 Traction High Rise Elevators at The Crowne Plaza Times Square in New York, NY

Filmed on July 3rd, 2024. I apologize for not uploading for over a month, due to reasons I will not be discussing at this time, I have not uploaded to the channel. But I am now back, I AM STILL ALIVE and I have LOTS of exciting content to come! AT LONG LAST, I have FINALLY made it to New York City, and during my time in the Big Apple, I got to see some elevators I've wanted to ride for MANY years! Here is my first elevator video from NYC, taken at the hotel that I stayed at during my trip! The elevators here are BEAUTIFUL & FAST Otis Elevonic 401 Elevators dating back to when this hotel was built in 1989 that got 1000 FPM! Otis Elevonic 401 is one of my favorite elevator models ever, and I'm definitely kind of surprised albeit also very happy that we still have a surviving set of them in Times Square! These elevators are pretty fast, and are a TON of fun to ride, and the cabs and EPCO Fixtures on the inside look very nice too! The cabs were definitely redone, and I believe the fixtures were replaced too (according to Gabe these apparently had Brass Custom Series 1 COPs originally), but aside from that, these elevators are fully original from 1989 and considering how heavily these are used, they've held up decently well over the past 35 years. During my stay, 3 of the 4 elevators were working and 1 of these elevators bounced quite a bit while leveling, but aside from that they did their job just fine considering the enviroment they're in. In addition to these elevators being beautiful & fast, the Motors also sound INCREDIBLE and are very audible on the upper floors of the hotel complete with that signature Elevonic 401 hum! I definitely really loved these elevators a lot and I'm very glad I was able to stay at this hotel after getting a really good deal on it and be able to ride these elevators as much I wanted to without issues.
