Beginnings of a Flowering Cherry Bonsai From Nursery Stock May 2020
Back in March I picked up a lovely flowering Cherry Prunus Incisa from a local supermarket for £5. I posted a picture on the community tab. Being a Stone fruit it is susceptible to Peach Leaf Curl, a fungal disease mostly active during winter months, so did not work on it immediately. Advice for all stone fruit is that they should only be pruned when in full leaf and actively growing so that they will heal any wounds before spores for the disease can infect the tree. Now is a good time to work on the tree though I didn't want to completely bare root the tree at the moment.
