Zambia's Republican President Hakainde Hichilema attended the Consecration of Monze Diocese's new Bishop, Raphael Mweempwa on the 7th of May 2022. In his congratulatory speech, he implored his government to view the Church as a partner not a competitor and therefore should endeavour to support the works of the Church for the benefit of the people.
