Guiding Light January 30 2002, Marina's Welcome Home Party

Lorelei admits to Phillip that she lied and told Edmund that they were engaged. Lizzie overhears them talking and is thrilled by the news that her parents are getting remarried. Distraught, Phillip asks Lizzie to keep it a secret. At Company, Edmund catches Marina trying to steal money from the cash register. He quickly befriends her and discovers that Lizzie, Phillip and Beth will be attending the party that is being thrown in her honor. Before Buzz can warn her off of Edmund, Marina invites him to the party. Everyone starts arriving and Lizzie immediately reveals her secret to Marina. Marina, who doesn't want to be at the party and has been observing all the Springfield citizens, makes a toast to all the happy couples who plan to marry: Blake and Ross, Harley and Rick, and Beth and Phillip. Everyone is stunned to hear the news including Gus, Edmund and Tory, who have joined the party. Once things settle down, Marina grows concerned that Shayne will reveal that she has been in town for longer than everyone has thought. Sure enough, Shayne lets the cat out of the bag, leaving Frank and Eleni confused. Marina is forced to admit that she stayed away to avoid Eleni. Michelle leaves the party to visit Danny at the hospital. Ross confronts Tory and demands that she leave him alone. Rick watches as Harley and Gus retreat upstairs so Gus can see Jude. Rick follows them, only to witness them locked in a passionate kiss.
