Extreme heat advisory heading to Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky into holiday weekend

FOX 17 News is in a Code Red Weather Alert this week for dangerous heat. An extreme heat advisory is in effect for most of Middle Tennessee and all of Southern Kentucky through Thursday. The high temperature Monday was 96 degrees, making it the hottest day so far this year. High temperatures will be even hotter Tuesday through Thursday. Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 90s through at least Friday, July 3. Heat index values will reach as high as 110 each afternoon. The forecast shows little to no rain for the week ahead. Overnight temperatures will only drop to the upper 70s and low 80s, offering little relief for anyone without cooling or hydration. https://fox17.com/weather/extreme-hea... _______________ Follow!
