In 2020, when India was hit by the coronavirus pandemic, doctors from various specialities came together to fight the pandemic. I was finishing the first year of my residency in dermatology in India when we were called upon for our duties in covid wards. In the beginning, it was absolutely terrifying. With such little idea about the situation and the virus and the fear of infection every time I went for a covid duty was too stressful. Slowly, through experience and information, things got better.
