How to replace the front shocks or struts assembly replacement, Volvo 850, S70, V70, etc. - VOTD

Strut assembly replacement: 1-1/2 to 2 hours ($300 / $480 / $800) This video show assembly replacement with a salvaged unit. You can get new units from some auto parts suppliers, most people get units from Amazon (Gabriels). This video was filmed on a Volvo 850 but the process is the same for most vehicles. Installed these used struts at 302,600, removed at 365,300 with another used set received from a viewer (suppose to have about 20,000 miles on the new used ones). TORQUE VALUES: Spring seat - 53 ft lbs. Strut mount bolt - 53 ft lbs. Top assembly 3 bolts, strut mount to frame - 19 ft lbs. Strut to steering knuckle - 49 ft lbs. plus 90 degrees.
