Baby Not Walking at 19 Months? Don't Panic—Here's What a Pediatric PT Actually Looks For

Baby Standing But Not Walking at 20 Months? Here's What To Do | Cherrick Gordon, MSPT Is your toddler standing firmly, climbing everything, and pushing heavy things around the house... but still not walking? You're not alone, and in most cases, this is still well within typical development. Today we're going LIVE to walk through 7 practical activities you can start using today to help build your baby's walking confidence and strength. I'm Cherrick Gordon, MSPT, a pediatric physical therapist with 25+ years of experience working with infants and toddlers in early intervention. In this session, I'll demonstrate: 1. Cruising side to side using the couch for support 2. Cruising around inside corners 3. Cruising using the wall for support 4. Cruising around outside corners of a wall 5. Standing and banging toys for 10 seconds (building standing tolerance) 6. Using a push walker (rolling toy) to build forward confidence 7. Taking first steps toward open arms 8. Taking first steps toward the couch These activities are designed to progressively build the strength, balance, and confidence your baby needs to take those first independent steps. ⚠️ This video is for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for individualized medical or therapeutic advice.
