Diagnose Kanker, aflevering 2 / Catharina Kanker Instituut

In episode 2, we follow Henri and Leny van de Peppel from Uden. Henri has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. On the same day as his first chemotherapy treatment, he also receives his first radiation treatment. Toos van den Akker-de Groot, who has been diagnosed with rectal cancer, is celebrating her final radiation treatment. She and her sister visit a café to conclude this phase of her treatment. The documentary series "Diagnosis of Cancer" follows four people facing cancer. They are Toos van den Akker (51 years old, colon cancer), Anna Liebregts (52 years old, breast cancer), Henk van de Meulengraaf (66 years old, prostate cancer), and Henri van de Peppel (66 years old, esophageal cancer). A camera crew from Omroep Brabant followed the four during their treatments at the Catharina Cancer Institute. They, their families, and doctors talk about the choices they make, the impact of the treatments, and the consequences of cancer on daily life. A moving series about hope and disappointment. About life and death.
