PANAHON (Juan De La Cruz) Marcus Adoro, Ely Buendia, Itchyworms

No copyright infringement intended. For edit. Dates and whatnot. I've had this urge to sing this song for the longest time even before the recording of the Juan de la Cruz tribute. Sadly Itchyworms got the slot. Maybe it was for the best. 2019 and I found myself drawn to the song again singing along to it at the top of my lungs alone or with people in my car and on long drives to La Union. An internet craze hit the webs- the 10-year photo challenge where netizens post 2 photos of themselves taken a decade in between. Itchyworms had a photo of the band with Ely and me. They wanted to recreate the photo. I got a text from Jazz inviting me to the rehearsals. I said I would do it on one condition. I'd like to jam Panahon with them in the studio and take a video. It was an itch I had to scratch, even for posterity's sake. I get to be in the photo and jam Panahon with them. They had a proper recording anyway and knew the song so it was a sweet and fun deal. The "shoot" would be used to ride the craze and to promote Ely X Itchies concert. At the rehearsal I learned that they decided to include me as a surprise guest- to sing this song along with some Eheads classics. It went well and those guys are always cool. I've worked with them way way back and have toured Singapore. They are always fun and happy and there'd always be good food.    • Minsan by Eraserheads live by Ely Buendia ...   from the concert Days before the concert and the Pinoy music scene was shocked of the passing of Rock Legend Pepe Smith. The performance of this song became a tribute. Maybe it was his way of talking to me for one last time. This whole thing was surreal for me at least. I haven't seen Piyaps in his last days but this song kept popping in my head and I was singing this for no reason. I cried driving from La Union when I heard the news. Pepe Smith was a great friend and mentor. As of now there is no video of the live performance of Panahon and I decided to upload this as a way of saying I love you Piyaps. Please reserve a seat for me up there, somewhere close to you .
