Kachin Manau festival

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has been in the news alot this week, but much earlier this year, she also graced the 71st Kachin State Festival (Manau). This was the first such large scale celebrations that the state had since 2015, owing to conflicts and internal fighting. Even as the dances from 12-13 tribes gathered in a demonstration of unity, peace has not been fully restored in the northernmost state of Myanmar. As Manau 2020 is approaching, how much progress has been made?
