Cultural History Month: Do you know Guans were the first inhabitants of Ghana?
A historian, Kweku Darko Ankrah, has revealed that the Guans are the true indigenes of Ghana. Speaking on the Cultural History Month series on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show, he said the first people who were originally living in Gold Coast, now Ghana, were the Guans. “The Guans were the first group to occupy the Gold Coast. They were called ‘Eti’ and were later joined by other tribes like the Fantis, the Ashantis, the Ga Adangbe and then the Ewes,’’ he said. #TheGuans #CulturalHistoryMonth #EpaHoaDaben #HappyFM
