La Chakana de Pukara y el secreto que esconde
1,500 years before the Incas, the Pukará culture was already carving chakanas in stone. Among them is a little-known monolith called the Pukara Stele, which shows a series of chakanas arranged in such a way that they enclose a powerful message: the meaning of life and the universe according to the ancient Andean peoples. In this video, we will reveal what it says. The chakana has become a very popular symbol in our culture, but despite this, few know its true meaning. The first mistake is to think that the chakana has an Incan origin, when in reality, it is a symbol that can be found throughout the Andes thousands of years before the Incas. The first chakanas have been found in the Sechín culture and even date back to Caral. This means that the chakana has been with us in our territory for about 7,000 years. One of the oldest monoliths representing the chakana is the Pukará stele, a culture that developed 500 years BC. The Pukará stele can be found in the Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology, and History of Pueblo Libre, and I recommend you go see it because I haven't even found any photos of it online. In fact, I had to take the photos I'm about to show you myself. You'll see that the stele is divided into three parts. This division is very common in Andean culture because it represents the three worlds of Pacha: Uchu Pacha or the inner world, Kay Pacha or the present world, and Hanan Pacha or the upper world. Uchu Pacha is represented in the lower part of the stele, and we'll see that it has an embryonic being incubating in the center of the chakana. This is because Uchu Pacha is an incubation world; it is beneath the earth where seeds germinate. From the interior of the earth, the Ayar brothers emerged through the Pacaritambo cave, and from the Uchu Pacha, Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo also emerged on Lake Titicaca. This same being is fully developed in the upper division, the chakana corresponding to Hanan Pacha, the world above. From Uchu Pacha, it has passed through Kay Pacha, the present world, to transcend Hanan Pacha, for our life is not destined to succumb in this world; we were created to transcend to the upper world. Now this being is fully developed; it even carries a chakana within itself. Now it is a chakana. We are chakana, for Kay is the being, and therefore the three worlds are also present in the person itself. From our inner being, the actions we perform in the present world germinate, and these will allow us to transcend to the upper world. This world is supported by the central Cross, as Wiracocha established it thus. It is a chakana in the middle of four chakanas. The number four represents totality; the cross in the middle represents the balance within that totality, the center of centers, and also the balance within ourselves. This chakana is concentric to other chakanas that emanate from it, like waves of water emanating from a stone thrown into a pond. In the same way, our actions, germinated in our Uchu Pacha, the interior of our being, expand in this world until they resonate in the next world, the Hanan Pacha. This stele is a mirror, where we see both the reality of the universe and the reality of ourselves, for each of us is also a universe; we are bridges between the interior and the higher, and we are chakanas destined to balance the pacha. This same message is present in another of the most well-known and revered symbols among the ancient Andeans, Wiracocha himself. But the explanation of Wiracocha will be discussed in another video.
