BUICK VERANO RUNNING ROUGH VVT PROBLEMS P0010 P0011 DIAGNOSIS

In today's case study we have a 2014 Buick Verano with a 2.4l ecotec engine. Customer complaint was that the vehicle is intermittently running rough and hesitating while driving and sometimes stalls. The vehicle had the check engine light illuminated and we used a scan tool to check for trouble codes. We found DTC P0010 intake camshaft solenoid circuit fault and P0011 intake vvt camshaft actuator performance fault codes present. With knowledge about variable timing systems and an understanding of circuit design, we are able to troubleshoot diagnose and repair this vehicle.
