WHITE DRESS (LIVE) - FAIRPORT CONVENTION
'Fairport' with the lovely Sandy Denny again. This is the full-length version of "White Dress" as performed on August 8, 1975 for "The London Weekend Show" on LWT. As nothing more than the first minute of the footage has surfaced so far, I've filled in stills for the rest of the track (as I did with many of my uploads). Dave Swarbrick had written this beautiful waltz for the "Rising For The Moon" album and with Sandy Denny's vocal delivery one has to be a pretty hardhearted character to not be moved at least a little bit by this excellent performance.
