He was born into this world at some point in 1856, on the Sweetgrass Reserve and crossed over one final time to the Spirit world, in 1942. Chief Fine Day participated in the 'North-West Rebellion' of 1885. During the 'Battle of Cut Knife', he acted as the Battle/War Chief, taking control of the warrior parties from the political Chief, Poundmaker (Pitikwahanapiwiyin).
