Apologies for the brief silence on the channel—I've been away on a business trip, but I am thrilled to be back in the cockpit of the Aerosoft A340-600 for the Virgin Atlantic world tour. Today, we are capturing the arrival phase of flight VS3 from London Heathrow (EGLL) to New York John F. Kennedy (KJFK). Being away from the sim always brings a bit of rust, so I knew I had to be laser-focused for this JFK arrival. From 10,000ft down, my main priority was absolute precision. Once we captured the glideslope for ILS Runway 22L, I dedicated 100% of my attention to stabilizing the aircraft and tracking that perfect 3-degree slope. Thanks to the crisp, fluid inputs on my WINCTRL hardware, the "Long Lady" felt incredibly cooperative under the bright, clear New York skies. The visual fidelity rendered by the NVIDIA RTX 5080 on Ultra Settings made the entire approach look absolutely stunning. The final touchdown felt solid and controlled, proving that muscle memory doesn't fade that easily! However, the simulation realism threw a minor curveball at the gate: after shutting down and requesting deboarding via GSX Pro, the stairs simply refused to connect to our aircraft.
