Joséphine Baker @ Nightclub Ghent, Belgium 1972
Joséphine Baker rehearsing & participating in an interview at a nightclub in Ghent, Belgium in January 1972. Her next stop for a concert will be Stockholm. She talks about her twelve adopted children, studying and working in Tokyo, Ivory Coast, Lausanne, Nice and Monte Carlo. When asked about her experiences with Maurice Chevalier, she insists that the dead should be left in peace. As one of her great examples, she names Charles de Gaulle. To her, he is still very much alive. But again, she will remain silent about the dead.
