🥭തെറിച്ചുപോകാതെ തറിച്ചുവച്ച കുറച്ചു പച്ചമാങ്ങകൊണ്ടച്ചാറാക്കി കുപ്പിയിൽനിറച്ചുവച്ചൊരിക്കലതു കുറച്ചെടുത്ത് ഊണിനു കൂട്ടിക്കുഴച്ചുകഴിച്ചു വയറു നിറച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തിരിച്ചുകിട്ടിയതോ മനസ്സിൽ കുറിച്ചിടാൻ ബാല്യകാലത്തെ കുറച്ചോർമകൾ... മഴക്കാലത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ സൂചനകൾ ആകാശത്ത് തെളിയുമ്പോൾ, മാമ്പഴക്കാലം പതിയെ വിടപറയുകയാണ്... ഈ വർഷത്തെ അവസാനത്തെ കുറച്ച് മാങ്ങകളും, മഴയ്ക്ക് മുൻപായി ലഭിച്ച ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ തെളിഞ്ഞ വെയിലും ചേർന്നപ്പോൾ, ഇല്ലത്തിൽ തയ്യാറായത് പരമ്പരാഗത തറിച്ച മാങ്ങാ അച്ചാറും കാട്ടുമാങ്ങാ പച്ചടിയുമാണ്. ☀️🥭 ഒരു കാലാവസ്ഥ അവസാനിക്കുമ്പോൾ മറ്റൊന്ന് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. വേനലിന്റെ മധുരവും വെയിലിന്റെ ചൂടും ഒരു ഭരണിയിലാക്കി സൂക്ഷിച്ച്, മഴക്കാല ദിവസങ്ങൾക്കായി മാറ്റിവെക്കുന്ന പഴയൊരു ഇല്ലംപാരമ്പര്യം... നാലുകെട്ടിലെ നിശബ്ദതയും, മുറ്റത്തെ വെയിലും, മാങ്ങയുടെ മണമുമൊക്കെയായി ഒരു ദിവസത്തിന്റെ കഥ. 🌿🏡 മഴയെ വരവേൽക്കുമ്പോൾ, മാമ്പഴക്കാലത്തിന്റെ രുചിയും ഓർമ്മയും കൂടെ കരുതാം... 🌧️🥭 As the first monsoon clouds gather around our Illam, we make use of the season's last mangoes to prepare a traditional sun-dried Tharicha Mango Pickle and wild mango pachadi. Preserving a little sunshine in a jar for the rainy days ahead. ☀️🥭🌧️ The mango season is slowly coming to an end, and the first rains have begun to touch our Nalukettu. With a handful of the year's last raw mangoes and a rare day of sunshine between the clouds, we prepared two traditional favourites — wild mango pachadi and mango pickle. These are not just recipes, but seasonal memories that return every year with the changing skies. As summer says goodbye and the monsoon arrives, we hold on to the last flavours of mango season. I also would like to picturize current food cooking styles in possible traditional way when ever I stay in city. I always like to explore more on traditional cooking within and outside Kerala too. I personally like to prepare the foods by my self and enjoy to serve it to family.
