Making of the movie "The Ghost and the Darkness"

In 1994 a whole area near Badplaas in the Eastern Transvaal of South Africa was cleared away to build up a site for the making of the movie "The Ghost and the Darkness". A whole railway was built and two steam locos as well as wagons etc were all brought in. Stations, water tanks, bridges and all were constructed for this making. Even most of the trees were planted simply for the occasion. Three of us were assigned to maintain and drive the trains and had a great time.
