The first Moroccan-Chilean Economic Forum, held in Salé, marked a significant milestone in strengthening the economic and trade partnership between the two countries, reflecting their shared commitment to developing trade and creating promising investment opportunities. The forum was co-chaired by Mr. Omar Hejira, Secretary of State to the Minister of Industry and Trade in charge of Foreign Trade, and Ms. Paula Estevez Weinstein, Undersecretary of State for International Economic Relations in Chile, underscoring the commitment of both governments to enhancing bilateral cooperation within a sustainable institutional framework. The forum witnessed significant participation from Moroccan and Chilean business leaders and investors, who exchanged views on investment and cooperation opportunities across various promising sectors. The proceedings culminated in the signing of a joint declaration outlining the features of the future partnership and opening up broad horizons for businesses and companies in both countries, paving the way for a balanced economic and trade relationship based on mutual interests.
