General Lee's Grand March | The Confederacy by Richard Bales
1. General Lee's Grand march-- for Full Orchestra. Hermann L. Schreiner, of Savannah, Georgia, composed numerous marches for the Confederate cause. In view of the fact that Robert E. Lee did not achieve great fame until the War had run nearly half its course, this march had the advantage of coming after Schreiner had gained considerable experience in the form. It is an exciting example of the American Military march of that period. This present arrangement was developed from a piano version of the time.
