Overnight stay on a winter road on the way to Vankor (Yamal). Part 14 Friends, I'm pleased to introduce you to the new season of our adventures in the harsh Arctic. We set off on this extreme journey in a stock Toyota Hilux to set a world record and reach the northernmost inhabited settlement in the world, the village of Dikson, located far beyond the Arctic Circle in northern Russia, home to strong-willed people and polar bears. Along the way, we had to navigate completely off-road terrain, with no roads, trails, or winter roads—only deep snow, the white silence of the Arctic Circle, and the endless expanses of the far north. We reached the town of Dikson after facing impossible obstacles, and now a harsh and extreme journey home awaits us, by car, on our own, across ice and snow, and across harsh winter roads to Moscow. In this episode: We continue our triumphant journey on the nuclear icebreaker Taymyr along the Yenisei River to Dudinka, from where we later take the winter road through Vankor (Yamal) back home to Moscow. This is the final episode of our Arctic adventures; next up is a new season, a family trip through Scandinavia.
