75 JAHRE GOETHE-INSTITUT

We celebrate Germany's largest cultural institution. Since its founding in 1951, the Goethe-Institut has connected people across borders through its global network. This work is gaining particular importance now – in times of escalating global conflicts and polarization. The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany's globally active cultural institute. With 154 institutes currently operating in 100 countries, it promotes knowledge of the German language, fosters international cultural cooperation, and conveys a contemporary image of Germany. Through collaborations with partner institutions in numerous other locations, the Goethe-Institut has a total of around 1,000 contact points worldwide. © 2026 Goethe-Institut
