Sectional speed monitoring on the A6 motorway, between the Szczecin Dąbie and Rzęśnica junctions, was generating incorrect speeding tickets – and CANARD (Center for Automatic Road Traffic Supervision) confirmed that the problem was related to incorrect device certification and incorrectly entered section length. In this video, we explain how sectional speed monitoring works, why A6 tickets are discarded, whether tachograph data can be used as evidence in speeding cases, and what regulations (Article 92a of the Code of Petty Offenses and Article 97 of the KPW) govern the issuance of fines based on recording devices.
