ALPA CORRAL-Córdoba (Si buscas PAZ rodeado de SIERRAS y RIOS Color CARAMELO, te vas a ENAMORAR!!) HD
I needed a good dose of mountain ranges, accompanied by the relaxing melody of the rivers that meander through them.... That's why, without hesitation, I hit the road in search of them... The chosen destination was a small town in the province of Córdoba, not yet well-known, called Alpa Corral, located on the eastern slopes of the Sierras de Los Comechingones, just over 70 km from the colossal city of Río Cuarto. This mountain village, which has fewer than 1,000 permanent inhabitants, is a true paradise of peace, tranquility, and natural beauty. As you approach along Route 23, the mountain ranges begin to tentatively appear in the landscape, foreshadowing what I will find there. As soon as I arrived, I went for a walk along the banks of the DE LAS BARRANCAS River, which runs through the town... the striking caramel color of its waters, contrasting with the black rocks at the bottom, penetrated my retina to my delight. Along its course, we can find small spas and campsites where we can enjoy it. Early the next morning, I set out to stroll through its deserted streets, surrounded by the melodic songs of dozens of birds... On "Espinillos" Street, I came across a viewpoint from where I could contemplate the lush vegetation that adorns this beautiful town, the well-known DE LAS BARRANCAS River below, and the mountain ranges in the background, framing what resembled a painting that not even the most famous artist could have drawn. About 50 meters from the VIEWPOINT, there is a symbol of the town: the "Hanging Bridge," with a very unique history, as it was transported by truck from Córdoba City to Alpa Corral more than 40 years ago. It is a panoramic point of enormous beauty, with its height of more than 45 meters, and also facilitates the movement of vehicles and pedestrians. In the afternoon, I went to see one of the icons of the place: the "Hambaré Chapel." It is easily reached on foot along a shady wooded path. Although it is located on private property, you can enter by opening the gate to visit it. Its unique history tells us that the owner of this ranch (Carlos D'Glymes) built this chapel and had an image of the Virgin of Pompeii brought from Europe to be placed inside. However, for various reasons, this could not be carried out. After several years, in 1997, a group of young people passing by saw an image of the Virgin of Pompeii reflected in a window of the old chapel. The news spread, and from that moment on, the place became a site of continuous pilgrimage for many faithful to venerate her. The next morning, under the radiant sun, I got in the car to visit a place I'd been recommended to visit. Along a winding road and after 4 or 5 km along the Las Barrancas River, I arrived at the town of "Unión de los Ríos." From there, after walking along a beautiful trail of approximately 200 meters, the Las Moras River and the Talitas River, which descend from the mountain in different directions, join together and flow together toward the valley, giving rise to the Las Barrancas River. The ochre colors of the waters contrasting with the green of the surrounding vegetation and the relaxing murmur of the water make this place a true oasis away from the turbulence of any city, ideal for resting, disconnecting, and contemplating the landscape. Just 1 km from this spot, I arrived at what they call "THE FORD"... This is a place where your eyes will be filled with incredible landscapes, with the caramelized ochre color of the Talitas River and the mountains in the background. I entered a narrow path, bordering the river until I reached a place where only the river and I were the protagonists... I sat on a rock, dipped my feet in its refreshing waters, and stayed there for a long time, with my eyes closed and enjoying the sound of nature... Alpa Corral is a tourist destination, until now little known, surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes; But I have no doubt that with the passage of time it will become a much-sought-after spot to enjoy its tranquility and natural surroundings. The "DOSE" of MOUNTAINS and RIVERS I had come looking for was already firmly embedded in my SOUL... It was a NEW CHAPTER in my TRAVEL BOOK, traveling through our Argentine Republic... Here are the details of the accommodation where I stayed these past few days in ALPA CORRAL: *Cabañas "Balcón del Sur" - Calle Los Fresnos s/n - TEL: 0358-411-8225 (Gabriela) Both the attention of the owners and the facilities were 10 points!!
