JENZ Hackthor HEM 593 (Agritechnica 2025)

Hey everyone, In the days leading up to Agritechnica 2025, I visited the JENZ company and had the opportunity to drive and test a JENZ HACKTHOR 593. You can see some impressions in the video. You can read the most important information about the Hackthor here. The JENZ HACKTHOR 593 is a powerful mobile chipper specifically designed for processing bulky brushwood and logs. The rotor has a diameter of 820 millimeters and is designed as a D1.2 drum to ensure consistent wood chip quality. The machine achieves a throughput of up to 300 cubic meters per hour and can process hardwood logs up to a diameter of approximately 45 centimeters and softwood logs up to 56 centimeters. Depending on the configuration, the weight ranges from 14,500 to 26,000 kilograms, and the transport dimensions are approximately 6.65 meters long, 2.55 meters wide, and 4 meters high. With a high-speed axle, the HackThor can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h. The chipper's features include an extra-wide infeed table, which facilitates the handling of bulky material, and an aggressive upper infeed roller for optimized feeding performance. The hydraulic screen basket hood with the EasyChange system allows for quick, tool-free replacement. A hydraulic blower or a conveyor belt is available for material discharge. Control is managed via the easy2advanced system with the Chipper Feed Assistant (CFA) and the DIP system, which automatically adjusts the roller pressure. A Palfinger Epsilon M70F101 crane with a reach of ten meters is fitted as standard. Optional features include an LED lighting package, a camera system, an automatic central lubrication system, and a toolbox. The HackThor 593 is particularly well-suited for biomass production, such as for heating plants or small combustion plants. It's ideal for long transport distances and scattered material piles and is primarily used for medium to large jobs. But see for yourself!
