Panair do Brasil - inesquecível e injustiçada

It had class, a lot of class. And enviable DNA: it was born as a subsidiary of the imposing Pan American Airlines. Sovereign of the South Atlantic, it was sung in prose and verse. Panair do Brasil took the name of our country to distant and contrasting lands, such as Lima, Beirut, Paris, or Cairo. The Constellations, Douglas DC-7Cs, Caravelles, and Douglas DC-8s, crewed by great professionals, carried and elevated the name of Brazil wherever they went. Until the dream of generations of aeronauts, airline workers, passengers, and simple enthusiasts was cut short in a single, cowardly blow, inflicted by far from mysterious forces. Shamefully declared bankrupt within five days and banned from flying, Panair do Brasil left the skies forever. But it remains steadfast in our longing and admiration. It's time to pay our respects and tribute to this remarkable and unfairly treated Brazilian flag carrier.
